    Drabble Challenge: Day 1 - beginning
    Word Count: 77    Minimum Goal: 60

    The gypsies turned their backs on Vena when she was ten years old and it took her years to see that action not as a betrayal, but as a beginning. A chance for a life better than they could've given her.
    She could go anywhere. Do anything. Be anyone she wanted to be.
    Vena opened her eyes and saw a world she wanted to learn, to explore, and now, she had the wings to do it.


    And with that, so begins this month's challenge. I do have a profile post for Vena, if you're confused as to who she is/what her background story is.
